<br /> - '- <br /> . .. <br /> . <br /> - <br /> MiNUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Mo~d21, December 27, 1965 <br /> Vi! lage of Arden Hills <br />I The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kennedy at 8:02 P.M. <br />, Roi I Ca i I: Present - Mayor Kennedy, Trustees Crepeau, Nethercut and <br />f Bjorndahl, Acting Clerk McNiesh. <br /> Absent - Trustee Olmen, AdminIstrative Clerk Stromquist. <br /> Also Present - Attorney Courtney, Engineers Short and <br /> lund, Bu II dIng Inspector Kelley arrived at 9:00. <br />I The minutes of the regular meeting of December 13, 1965 were approved <br />I, e <br /> as submitted. <br />I SQuad Car Bid Openln" <br />I <br /> The following bids were received for a 1966 squad car: <br /> M I dwa"y Ford 2,749.00 <br /> Ron Saxon FO'rd 2,995.55 <br /> The bids were referred to Attorney Courtney and Trustee Crepeau <br /> for checking and recommendations; they were reqJested 'j'o report <br /> t. ?Ir findings at the Special Meeting January 3, 1965. <br /> REPORT OF ATTORNEY COURTNEY <br /> Hansen StreeT Vacation <br /> Following discussion of technicalities Involved In the Hansen <br /> petition, Trustee NeThercut moved that a Public Hearing be held <br /> on the petitioned street vacation on January 31, 1966, conditioned <br /> on Mrs. Hansen Joining In the peTition for vacation, and sutject <br /> to a proper survey being furnished to Attorney Courtney prior to I <br /> the Public Hearing. Seconded by Trustee Crepeau. Carried. <br /> The Counc II requested that Building Inspector Kelley be advised <br /> not to Issue a building permit unTil Attorney Courtney Is assured <br /> that all legal technicalities have been cleared. <br /> Peiffer DralnaQe Easement <br /> Attorney Courtney reported that PeIffer requested $250.00 for grant- <br /> Ing this drainage easement. Trustee Crepeau moved That Attorney <br /> Courtney be authorized to negotIate the easement at a cost nOT to <br /> exceed $250.00 and authorized Engineer Lund to prepare the contract <br /> for construcTion. Seconded by Trustee Bjorndahl. Carried. <br /> Skelly Station <br /> Attorney Courtney reported that under present zoning regulaTions, no <br /> commercial or residential uses were permissible in an I ndus'~r I a I <br /> area such as the Twin City IndustrIal Park. The Council requested <br /> t~Qt a copy of Attorney Courtney's opinion be sent to the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> I :~, Husbv land Purchase <br /> Attorney CourTney reported that the tiTle search has been completed <br /> r <br /> and the Contract for Deed prepared for Village purchase of The <br /> Husby property. Trustee Bjorndahl moved approval of the Contract <br /> to purchase this property for $11,000.00; $10,000,00 to be paid <br /> on execution of the contract, the balance of $1,000.00 to be paid <br /> on or before December 31, 1966 with Interest of J'$ ,from date of <br /> contract. .Seconded by Trustee Nethercut. Carried.
