Building Inspector was authorized to grant a <br /> building permit. <br /> REPORT OF TRlISTEE BJORNDAHL <br /> Storm Sewer at Playground - County Road F and Old Highway 10 <br /> Dr. Bjorndahl recommended Immediate construction of the storm sewer at the play- <br /> ground on County Road F and Old Highway 10 with completion as soon as possible <br /> and moved the bid be awarded to Rosetown Sanitation Service. Seconded by Crepeau. <br /> MotIon carried. Engineer Lund to prepare the contract. <br /> Ice Scraper <br /> Dr. Bjorndahl advised that Shorevlew has requested to use our ice scraper, and <br /> recommended that this be allowed. Council approved, subject to Shorevlew agreeing <br /> to share the cost of blade sharpening and repairs. <br /> Hockey Rinks <br /> The vi Ilage till I maintain two hockey rinks '(hls winter, one at Lake Johanna and <br /> one at County Road E and Hamllne Avenue. <br /> REPORT OF TRUSTEE OLMEN <br /> Mr. Olmen reported that the Public Works Committee had held a meeting at which fUTure <br /> space requirements for the Public Works Department was discussed. Th~lr recommenda- <br /> tions will be sent to the Civic Center Committee for study. <br /> REPORT OF TRUSTEE CREI?EAU <br /> County Road 0 and Lexington Avenue Rezoning Matter- Rosevllle <br /> Mr. Crepeau advised that the County opposes the purchase of thIs land because of <br /> the high asking price of $54,000.00. Crepeau moved that the admlnlstratl~e clerk <br /> write a letter to Rasevllle requesting that they do not re-zone the area. Seconded <br /> by Bjorndah I. Motion carried. <br /> . REPORT OF MAYOR KENNEDY <br /> Civil Defense <br /> Mayor Kennedy reported on a letter he received from the Department of Civil De- <br /> fense, Informing the village that our Civil Defense Director has met the standards <br /> of the state, reflecting credit on him and the community. Mayor Kennedy asked the <br /> administrative clerk to write a letter of congratulations to Mr. Eugene Gluesslng, <br /> Arden Hills Civil Defense Director. <br /> Sewer Rates - St. Paul <br /> Mayor Kennedy referred to a letter from the City of St. Paul to Mtorney Courtney <br /> pertaining to the matter of sewerage rates which St. Paul charges Arden Hills.
