Cre~eau, Jr. <br />at 8~00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Callg Present = Acting Mayor Crepeau, Trl'stees Olmen and Le.ng <br />Absent = Mayor Kennedy andTrustee N~thercut <br />Also Present = Administrative Clerk Lorraine Stromquist, <br />Atty. Jos. Salland. Treas. ,V\brth G. Read and <br />Bldg. Inspl Clay Kelley. ' <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of July 26, 1965, were <br />appr oved ass ubmi tted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS F1i011 TH.ti: FLOOR <br /> <br />Recreation Concensus _ <br />Mrs. Nan Smalley, Local S~Udy Chairman for the League of Women <br />Voters, presented copies of a concensus on recreation from the <br />League and gave a short commentary on it. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Crepeau thanked the League for this report and referred <br />the concensus to Trustees Lang and Nsthercut for 00 nsideration and <br />as an aid in budgeting. <br /> <br />Trustee Lang informed the Council that his Committee has worked <br />out a program which is in complete agreement with the concensus. <br /> <br />Rezoning Request <br />Douglas De Coster requested the rezoning from Residential to <br />Industrial of 3 acres of a 30 acre tract located south of Red Fox <br />Road and east of Hemline Avenue. Since the area is unplatted land, <br />Atty. Salland requested r~. De Coster to obtain a metes and bounds <br />description of the 3 acres and submit this to the Atty's office. <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist re~uested Atty. Sall~nd to inform.her <br />when this is received. <br /> <br />Fyten Matter <br />Trus tee Olmen moved, as recoI:lluended by the Board of Appeals. and <br />seconded by Trustee Lang, that Edw. Fyten, 1137 Edgewater, be <br />allowed to make two 75 ft. lots from his three 50 ft. lots to <br />enable him to sell a bUildable lot; motion Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Fyten stated that Engr. Lund had recoliunended tha t the sewer line <br />for this property be constructed along the road rather than through <br />the Fyten property. Acting Mayor Crepeau informed r~, Fyten that <br />this would necessitate a public hearing as it would involve other <br />property owners. <br /> <br />John Kelly Property . . <br />Acting !dayor Crepeau read an excerpt from the flanning Conunission <br />minutes of July 0, 1905, and Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read an <br />excerpt from the Planning COmmission minutes of August 3, 1905, <br />both relatIng to the Ke lley property in the Valentine Court area. <br />Mr. Aelly stated that he is requesting a building permit to build <br />a home on a portion of this property to be described by metes and <br />bounds as he does not intend to plat the area at this time. He <br />informed the Council that he intends to build the road and sewer <br />as recommended by the Village Englneer. <br /> <br />There was much discussion b:. the Council. Mr. Kelly and Atty. <br />Salland concerning a private easement owned jointly with several <br />property owners. Atty. Salland explained the difference between <br />a private and pUblic easement, stating that the Village could not <br />accept the road unless all property owners with easement rights <br />were agreeable to deeding the easement to the Village. <br /> <br />=1= <br />
