Clay Kelley. <br /> <br />~pproval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the regular Council meeting of June 14, 1905 were <br />approved as amended; the minutes of the special Council meetIng of <br />June 21, 1965 were a~proved as submitted. <br /> <br />New Brighton Dairy Queen <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read e letter from Mr. and Mrs. H, R. <br />Bernhagen. franohise dealers for Dairy Queen products, located In <br />New Brighton. Said letter reque sted a license to pel'mit them to msk e <br />scheduled stops in their franchised area in Arden Millo Which doss <br />not include the area east of Snelling Ave. <br /> <br />After disoussion. the Council still felt that this operation would <br />not be desirable in the Village. Mr. Berngagen was prssent and portio <br />cipated in the disoussion. Atty. Courtney informed the Council that <br />he will have a draft of an ordinance concerning this type of operation <br />for the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />- <br />REPORT OF ENGINEilli DONALD LlND <br /> <br />Cuo~ings Lane Sewer <br />Mssrs. Riohard O'Kelly. 1378 Cummings Lane. Jerome TimID. 1400 Cummings <br />Lane and Donald Selleok, 1399 Cummings Lane. were present and voiced <br />their concern regarding the delay in the construction of the sewer <br />improvement project scheduled for early this spring on Cummings Lane. <br />Mr. O'Kelley .informed the Counoil that he is having sewer problems <br />and the delay is oostly. <br /> <br />Engr. Lund informed the Council that the sewer improvement project <br />could be constructed in a couple weeks. but he does anticipate a <br />problem on the east side of Hwy. 51 because of the peat. He also <br />recommended that the street improvement be delayed until next spring <br />to allow for settling. Engr. Lund stated that the fessiThility report <br />has been submitted to the Council. but it does not include the cost <br />of the additional roadway. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Nethercut, the adoption <br />of a resolution, as attached, di!ecting the Banister Engineering Co. <br />to prepare plans Bnd specifications for.sewer and street improvement <br />for Cummings Lane and have them available for the regular Council <br />meeting-~f July. 12, 1965; motion carried. After some discussion. <br />the Council determined that a public hearing date will be set at the <br />'meeting of JUly 12, 1965. <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. O'Kelly thanked the' Council for its consideration and Mr. Timm <br />requested that since the street improvement project will possibly <br />be delayed. that.Fred Nixon fill the holes on Cummings Lane. <br /> <br />Playground Dr&1na~e <br />Engr. Lund SUbmit ed a map showing the existlng drainage faoilities <br />on the playground at'County Rood Fand Snelling Ave. and a proposed <br />covered line to run adjaoent to it, which he believes will be the <br /> <br />=1= <br />
