Vinoent P. Courtney, Engineer Donald LundJ <br />Building Insp. Clay Kelley, Heating Insp. Virgil <br />Keller. <br />Absent '" None <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of April 26, 1965, were <br />approved as amended. <br /> <br />Time Change Matter <br />As advised by Atty. Courtney, Trustee Lang moved that the Village <br />remain on Standard Time to comply with the state statute; seoonded <br />by Trustee Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />Request for Rezoning <br />DoUglas De Coster presented a latter, dated r~y 10, 1965, which con= <br />tained the legal deac~iption of tha property which he requested to <br />have rezoned from" residential to commercial at Hi&~ways 8 and 96 to <br />allow the construction of a Phillips service station. He also sub= <br />mitted a preliminary layout and a hignway map showing ~~e site. n~Q <br />DeCoster was requested to send in a certificate of ownership to Atty. <br />Courtney. <br /> <br />Matter referred to the Planning Commission; Clerk requested to send <br />maps and a copy of the latter to Carl Dale for perliminary study before <br />the June 1 Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTY. VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />Gray Fox Road <br />Atty. Courtney informed the Council that he had been unable to contact <br />John Daubney ooncerning the status of Gray Fox Road, but hoped to have <br />a report for the next council meeting. <br /> <br />Unfinished BuildinRs Matter <br />As reqUested by Mayor Kennedy, Atty. Courtney checked the Ordinances <br />and reported that there is nothing in the Zoning Ordinanoe concerning <br />unfinished buildings; however, Ordinanoe No. 37~ an amendment to the <br />Building C~dep states that buildings must be completed within one <br />year of the issuance of the permit. If the building inspector deter= <br />mines that a hazardous condition exists. then action could be initiated <br />i~ediately. Matter referred to the Clerk. <br /> <br />Sewer Rates Ordinance Amendment <br />Trustee crepeau introduced by title and give the First Reading to an <br />Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 49 relating to the municipal sewer <br />system by amending the schedule of rates and charges to set standards <br />for charges to be Lnposed on private schools. seminaries. rest homes <br />and similiar institutions and providing for interest charges on <br />delinquent sewer aocounts; seconded by Trustee Lang; motion Carried. <br /> <br />Fire Arms Ordinanoe <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informed the Council that ~~. Sokalak of the <br />State Game and Fish Division stated that the Ramsey County Ordinance <br />prohibiting the discharge of fire arms in the County is being dvopped. <br />The matter of a Village ordinance to cover this subject WpS referred <br />to Atty. Courtney. <br /> <br />Council MeetinR Date Change <br />Trustee crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Nethercut. that the next <br />regular council meeting be held on May 24. instead of May 31 = as <br />May 31 is a legal holiday. <br /> <br />=1= <br />
