Ramsey Co. ~ngineer. was present and showed detAiled <br />maps of the construotion plans for the improvemeni:; of Lake Johanna <br />Blvd. from County Fbad D to County ROad E. These planE h8d pre~ <br />viously be given by Clerk Lorraine Stromquist to ~ngr. ~on Lund for <br />study. There was discussion regarding the varied widths proposed <br />snd the walkway on both sides of the road. Floyd Snyker informed <br />the Council that conduit is to be placed for future sigsals at tho <br />intel:'ssc,tion of County Road D and Fail:'view Avenue. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved. seconded by Mayor Kennedy, the adoption of a <br />l'esolu"l;ion, as attached, approving the plans; motion C:::'l'l"ied. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTY. VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />Little Lakes Little League <br />Tl:'US tee Lang moved, seoonded by Trustee Olmen, tha'i:; the Mayor and <br />Cle!'k be authorized to sign the contract bs'i:;ween 'i:;11e Village and <br />the Little Lakes Little League; motion carfied. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 18 Amendment <br />Mayor Kennedy moved that an Ordinance amending Ol'dinan~o No. 18. the <br />Zoning Ordinance. be introduced by title and given its first read~ <br />ing, to rezone Lot 2, Block 4. Shady Oaks Addition. according to the <br />'plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Register of <br />Deeds of Ramsey County from Commercial to Residential; seconded by <br />Trustee Nethercut; motion carried. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 76 = Si n and Billboard Ordinance Amendment <br />Mayor Kennedy move that an Or inance amending Ordinance No. 76 <br />to prescribe penalties for violations. be introduced by title and <br />given its first reading; seconded by Trustee Olman; motion carriedo <br /> <br />Circle S Ranch Si~ns <br />Atty. Courtney in ormed the Council that he had written a letter. <br />delivered by certified mail. to the Circle S ~anch snd received no <br />answer. Clerk Lorraine StromqUist stQted that representation froill <br />the Ranch appeared prior to the Council meeting stating that they <br />will remove the signs tomorrow. and inquired if the sign ordinance <br />affected their signwhioh is painted on the roof of one of the <br />buildings. Trustee Nethercut requested the Clerk to have this ch8cked@ <br />Council decided to take no aotion on the roof sign as it is not <br />visible from ground level. <br /> <br />Cummings Lane Sewer & Road Improvement <br />Atty. Courtney reported in his letter, dated April 26, 1965, that <br />even though this improvement is smell. the assessment procedure il!lWt <br />be followed as set up by State Statute. He informed the Council <br />that several small improvements can be paid from the General Fund <br />and this refund shall be repaid at a later date from the assessment <br />fund for the improvement. A group of such improvements may be <br />covered by one bond sale. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved the adoption of a resolution. as attached. <br />ordering the preparation of an Engineer's feasibility report on the <br />improvement; seconded by Trustee Lang; motion carried. <br /> <br />The Council disoussed the oonstruction of a turn-around at the end <br />of Cummings Lane and decided to have its construction included in <br />the improvement. <br /> <br />=1~ <br />
