Matter <br />referred to Clerk to contact the L.W.V. <br /> <br />Proposed Zoning Regulation Book. <br />Mayor Kennedy said that he had read through the proposed zoning regula~ <br />tion book and believes that the Flanning Commission should study it <br />before involving the Cour.cil. He stQted that he noted that the sign <br />ordinance included in the book is entirely different from the one <br />!'ecently adopted by the Village and believes we should keep our pl'esen'b <br />Ordinance unless the reasons are substantial. e also stated thst he <br />does not believe the re~oning standards ~ _ Bnd suggested <br />'vhat the Council read t.ue book and make datiotls to TrusteE! <br />Ne'bher cut;. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />Junked Cars Matter <br />Clerk Lorraine St:rODlquist submitted sample ordinances on the prohibi'i:;ion <br />of junked cars as obtained from New Brighton, Mounds View. ShoreviaIT <br />and North St. Paul. Mayor Kennedy suggested reading the proposed <br />zoning regulations on the subject. Matter referred to Trustee Crepeau. <br /> <br />Emplo ent Status ~ Doroth Zehm <br />Trustee Lang moved, seconde by Trustee Netherout. 'tl'at the employmen'G <br />status of Dorothy Zehm be changed from probationary to regular part <br />time starting May 1, 1965; motion carried. <br /> <br />Sign Ordinance <br />Trustee Olmen moved, seconded by Trustee crepeau. that the Jehovah <br />Witnesses sign on HighWay 8 and Mounds Ave. be allowed to remain even <br />though it is slightly larger than pe~itted with the suggestion that <br />if the sign is replaced, it should then conform. motion carriedo <br /> <br />The Council agreed that the Brookdale sign on Highway 8 be allowed <br />to remain until the expiration of the contrac'v which will be Ju:e 1. <br />19680 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Trailer Recues'v <br />Trustee Nethercut moved, seconded by TrUstee Crepeau, that the request <br />of Donamd Eklund, 4434 North Cleveland Avenue. to place a house trailer <br />on this property for his OCcupancy, be denied. motion carried. <br /> <br />Request for propert~ Division <br />As recommended by t e Board of Appeals, Trustee Crepeau moved. seoonded <br />by Trustee Olmen, that the request of John E. Mitchell to subdivide <br />parts of Lot 1, Auditors Subdivision No. 80. as shown in the shaded area <br />of the Banister maps, on file, into four lots = one with 112 foot <br />frontage (allowing 10 feet of this lot to be held for possible future <br />road widening), and the other three lots into 85 foot frontage lots; <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />.,s~ <br />
