Councilmembers noted that the issue at this time is to adopt a <br /> policy which will comply with State law; the issue of employees attending <br /> classes to quit smoking could be discussed at a later date. <br /> \voodburn moved to amend the motion to state that the <br /> Council chambers be designated half smoking, half non-smoking area after 5,00 <br /> p.m. Motion failed for lack of second. <br /> Original motion failed. (Sather and Hansen voting-in <br /> favor; Woodburn and Peck opposed) (2-2) <br /> Council noted that the Village Hall should be in compliance with State law and <br /> therefore instructed the Clerk Administrator to set-up a temporary policy which <br />. would comply with the minimum requirements of the 'law; until such time as more <br /> res~arch can be submitted to Council. <br />. <br />
