"'1. ...t'ab1e WOrth Report to Dept of DDp10yee Relations <br /> Attached is the City of Arden Hills 1992 Pay Equity Implementation <br /> Report. 'Ihis report is required by Minnesota statutes, Chapter <br /> 471.9981, SUbdivision 5A. Council should note that this report is due <br /> on January 31, 1992. 'Ihe City's report must pass statistical analysis <br /> tests applied by the Deparbnent of Errp10yee Relations (IXlER). <br /> To J:e incompliance, Arden Hills must meet several other requirements in <br /> addition to passing the statistical analysis tests. 'Ihese include <br /> giving IXlER complete and a=ate information. 'Ihe analysis of salary <br /> ranges must show that at least 80 percent of the female classes are not <br /> at a disadvantage in comparison to mail classes. After IXlER has <br />. analyzed the City'S :i1nplementation report, a written notification will <br /> be sent explaining the compliance decision. If the city is not in <br /> compliance, we will be given recommended actions to achieve compliance <br /> and will be advised of the re=nsideration process available to the <br /> city. We may not receive a. compliance decision fram the Deparbnent for <br /> several llIOnths due to the large number of local governments and the <br /> complexity of the compliance review process. <br /> Cities not in compliance will face a penalty of a 5 percent reduction in <br /> state aid or a $100.00 per day fine, whichever is greater. IXlER will <br /> establish a regular reporting cycle J:eginning in 1994 whereby 1/3 of all <br /> jurisdictions will report every year. 'Ihe report will include the same <br /> information and J:e evaluated by the same methods as the 1992 <br /> :i1nplementation reports. <br /> ACrION REQUIRED: <br /> Motion to approve the 1991 Corrparable Worth Report to IXlER and authorize <br /> the City Administrator to forward the report to IXlER. <br /> GRB/ts <br /> Attachment <br /> M92-29 <br />. <br />
