January 61 1992 Ms. Cathy Iago City of Arden Hills 1450 West Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112 Dear Ms. Iago: In recent discussions with you, I understand that your City is considering the use of a Recording Secretary for Council meetings and possibly for Planning Commission meetings in the future, therefore, I am submitting my proposal for Record- ing Secretary services to Council per your request. After scanning previously prepared minutes, length of meetings, and the type of detail the City is accustomed to, I have deter- mined a cost of $120 per meeting for: 1) Attendance at Council meetings, 2) Preparation of minutes in final form (including any City-directed revisions after reviewal), 3) Completion of minutes and delivery to City Hall in time for their inclusion . on the next Council meeting agenda for review/approval. Knowing the space situation presently being experienced in your administrative office, I propose doing the actual work on a contractual basis, from my home office, therefore saving the City the costs usually involved with employees, such as insurance and taxes. As you well know, this would also free many hours of your time to attend to other tasks. Since both you and Mr. Berger have interviewed me in the past, you are familiar with my skills and experience and know that I have dealt with the typical agenda items of your Council after providing recording secretarial services to the Cities of Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes. Most recently I have been working with the City of Shoreview doing minutes from tape as they had dropped behind several months. Should you find you need assistance with Planning Commission minutes or other office overload, I would be interested in discussing those needs as well.
