<br /> . Request to Hire Recording Secretary <br /> Page Two <br /> I would reccmnend hiring Sharla Foster to serve as recording secretary <br /> for Council meetings, at a cost of $2,880 annually,. The cost for this <br /> year would exclude the months of January and February, which reduces the <br /> 1992 cost to $2,400.00. It is my intention to be present at Council <br /> meetings as part of my normal work duties. <br /> Sharla has indicated: she would also be interested in recording Planning <br /> Commission meetings and completing adcli tional secretarial work if the <br /> need arises. The cost for planning meetings or additional secretarial <br /> work has not been discussed at this time. <br /> This is not an item that was rodgeted for 1992. However, I believe the <br /> slight reduction in use of the consultant's time, and more effective use <br /> of my time for daily and special work projects will more than compensate <br /> for the expenditure. Reducing the Attorney and Planning Consultant's <br /> time by one to two hours per month will result in a savings of <br /> approximately $2,500 annually. You may wish to discuss other methods of <br /> funding this item with the city A=untant. <br /> I respectfully request your consideration to hire Sharla Foster as a <br /> recording secretary for the city Council meetings, effective February <br /> 24, 1992, at a cost of $120.00 per meeting. <br /> .
