JERRY COLEMAN. 5186 North Lexington. another spokesman for the group <br />of Shoreview residents. who appeared protesting the disturbance of the <br />Arsenal Sand and Gravel. Inc.. asked if the Council had given a permi t to <br />operate. It was explained to him that this company caD operate without a <br />permit if operating With permission of the Federal Government as they own <br />the mineral rights. Arsenal Sand &: Gravel did come to the Council asking <br />roI' permission to expand. Counoil refUsed. <br /> <br />MR. ALlAN VESSEY, 3280 take Johanna Blvd. asked about having the dirt <br />I'eplllCed at the cor~er of the north end of Lot 19. The grader of the <br />Lametti Construction Co. removed this dirt and "the traffio has addopted <br />the cornel' as a roadwayU. A letter dated July 10. 1961 !'rom Arthur Eo Thorn <br />stated that he had found the buildings on this property beyond repair and <br />that they should be burned down and destroyed. Mr. Courtney explained to <br />the residents that if the village goes in by abatement action the cost is <br />assessed to the property ownerD He feels that r~D Thom wants to take care <br />of thia himself. Ratter referred to COUl'toe,. to contaot Mr. Thom to see if <br />he will take the necessary aotion to destroy these buildings. <br /> <br />BANNISTER ENGlmlERINO REPORT: Mr. Roger Short submitted tha three estimates <br />on work done so far by the J~ W. Craig Co., Road Contractors for Improvement <br />3. 4~ and 5. <br /> <br />He also submitted the ownership description on the Perry property to <br />Attorney Vincent Courtney. <br /> <br />The Nelson matter at present stands with ~~. Nelson agreeing to the lower= <br />ingof the road and installing of the sewer if it goes on the two north <br />lots of his property. Referred to Vincent Courtney who will draw the <br />contracts for the Nelson easements. <br /> <br />Dr. Dunn. who 1s building south of V. A. Swanson. wanted to know if he <br />could be excused from hooking on to the sewer.
