CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
MEM:IU\NDUM
Dla'E: March 6, 1992
TO: Mayor and city Council ~
FRCM: Dan winkel, Public Works SUperintendent
SUBJEJCr: Public Works Weekly Report
The road restrictions for weight lmts were posted this week. The
lmts will probably be in place for approximately six weeks. I do not
plan to issue any pennits for overweight loads this year.
Fred Reed's condition has improved only slightly. He remains heavily
sedated and is still on a respirator.
Our vehicle painting continued this week. six vehicles have been
completed. The jetter truck, two large dump trucks, and possibly the
CSO car need to be painted. '!he new decals will be ordered next week.
. I am disappointed that Tri -state Pump has not yet installed the backflow
detection equipment in our rraster meter pits. They were scheduled to be
here this week. As of late Wednesday, they are not on site.
This week, work was completed on the rodder truck. '!he brakes had to be
replaced and also one of the brake lines. The truck is now available
when the jetter is being painted.
Most of the time this week was spent blacktop patching on West Round
Lake Road. The entire =ew was there on Tuesday and Wednesday. The
only place that has hot blacktop available is the st. Paul plant located
near Como Avenue and Western.
We are attempting to make the road passible until resurfacing or
reconstruction can be completed.
IM/ts
M92-78
.
