<br /> . <br /> Arden Hills Council 10 Apri 1 27, 1992 <br /> 110nON: Hicks moved, seconded by l1alone, to award the Keithson <br /> Pond Improvement Project to l1achtemes Construction, <br /> Inc. in the amount of $34,514. Motion carried <br /> unanimously (4-0) . <br /> Councilmember Hicks commented to the audience that there is <br /> definitely a need for a solution to the drainage problem in <br /> the Keithson Pond area and residents need to be realistic as <br /> to who will need to pay for the project. <br /> The audience expressed further concern as to possible <br /> assessments. l1ayor sather advised that tonight's action by <br /> Council is only a decision to go forward with the project, <br /> that the question of assessments will be addressed at the <br /> assessment hearing. <br /> Councilmember l1alone added that assessing lS an option to be <br /> decided upon later and everyone will have an opportunity to <br /> be heard before any assessment decision is made. Fill a <br /> adde'd that typically actual costs of the project are known <br /> by the time the assessment hearing is scheduled. <br /> UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS . <br /> RECEIVE FINANCE REPORT <br /> Acting Clerk Iago commented that she understood City <br /> Treasurer, Frank Green, would be present this evening to <br /> comment on the l1arch 30, 1992 Finance Report, however, he <br /> was not yet in attendance. Council acknowledged receipt of <br /> the Finance Report. <br /> DISCUSSION OF EXTENDED <br /> ROUTE TRANSIT SERVICE <br /> Randy Rosvold, Senior planner from the Regional Transit <br /> Board (RTB) returned to this meeting to continue discussion <br /> regarding extended route transit service in Arden Hill s. <br /> Rosvold reported that at a recent Council meeting, <br /> l:epresen ta ti ves from the RTB presented Council with a <br /> proposed Route #101 Option 1 to provide transit service to <br /> Arden Hills; based upon Council input provided since then, <br /> the RTB has drafted Route #101 Option 2 in an attempt to <br /> maximize ridership and respond to Council input. <br /> Rosvold stated that ei ther Opti on 1 or Option 2 will work <br /> within the budget, and the present plan is to begin the <br /> route around the first of June. . <br /> Councilmember Malone questioned why Bethel College is not <br /> being served by Option 2 . Rosvold stated that in surveying <br /> Northwestern and Bethel Colleges, it was learned that Bethel <br />
