The <br /> wider road surface and alignment changes will <br /> encroach upon adjacent wetlands. The Army Corps of <br /> Engineers is requiring mitigation of wetland <br /> impacts. <br /> wetland mitigation will be provided at three <br /> . locations in the Casey Lake/County Ditch 18, area of <br /> Maplewood (See the attached project location map). <br /> Mitigation consists of creating wetland and/or <br /> enlarging existing wetland areas. This work y.,rill <br /> be funded by State Aid. <br /> Due to the close proximity of the Casey Lake outlet <br /> to the wetland mitigation project, the Ramsey <br /> Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) has <br /> requested that the Casey Lake outlet be <br /> reconstructed as part of this project. The <br /> existing outlet is non-functional. RWMWD will fund <br /> outlet work according to the attached agreement. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED 1 ) Approve plans for wetland mitigation on <br /> Lexington Avenue between Tanglewood Drive and <br /> County Road J, S.A.P. 62-651-29. <br /> 2 ) Authorize t.he Director of Public Works to <br /> advertise for bids. <br /> 3 ) Approve Cooperative Agreement 91019 with the <br /> Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District for the <br /> Casey Lake Outlet and authorize the Chair to sign <br /> the agreement on behalf of Ramsey County. <br /> . <br />
