AGREEMENT BETWEEN RAMSEY COUNTY AND ARDEN HILLS FOR A SCORE FUNDING RECYCLING GRANT This Agreement is made this 30th day of March , 1992, between Ramsey County through the Public Health Department ( the "County" ) and Arden Hills (the "Municipality") . WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, The County has established policies and plans supporting curbside recycling as part of an overall waste abatement program; and WHEREAS, The Municipality supports curbside recycling and has entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County for funding of a recycling program serving residents of the Municipality which includes curbside collection of recyclables; and WHEREAS, The County will be collecting funding for recycling programs from the state of Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as SCORE funds, which, in part, provide for the funding of recycling services; and WHEREAS, The Mpnicipality has established an in-house recycling . program pursuant to Minn. Stat. 11SA.lSl; and WHEREAS, .The Municipality has requested SCORE funds from the County to support its recycling program; NOW, THEREFORE, The County and Municipality mutually agree as follows in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained herein: 1- OBLIGATIONS a. Reimbursement 1. The Municipality is obligated to provide curbside recycling as agreed to in the Joint Powers Agreement between the Municipality and Ramsey County for funding residential recycling. 2 . The Municipality is required to credit the County and the State of Minnesota's SCORE fund as funding sources in any public education materials. 3. The Municipality shall use the SCORE funds as specified by the Joint Powers Agreement dated November 19, 1991- 4 . The Municipality shall receive two payments from the County for . recycling funds. The first distribution shall occur by February 28, 1992 and shall be in the amount of $9,460. The second distribution shall be by May 31, 1992, and shall be for $9,460.
