MINUTES <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> March 30, 1992 <br /> 7:30 P.M. - City Hall <br /> ~ALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather called <br /> to order the regular City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Present: Mayor Thomas Sather; Councilmembers Dale Hicks, <br /> Thomas Mahowald, Paul Malone. Absent: Councilmember JoAnn <br /> Growe. Also present were: City Attorney, Jerry Filla; City <br /> Engineer, Mark Graham; Parks Director, John Buckley; Public <br /> Works Superintendent, Dan Winkel; Acting Clerk <br /> Administrator, Catherine Iago; Recording Secretary, Shar <br /> Foster. <br /> PRESENTATION OF PLAOUE - <br /> FORMER FIRE CHIEF DAN WINKEL <br /> Mayor Sather, on behalf of the City, presented Dan Winkel <br /> with a plaque of recognition and read aloud Resolution 92-20 <br /> commending Dan Winkel for six years of service as Fire Chief <br /> . of the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department, The <br /> audience applauded Winkel's service and accomplishments. <br /> Dan Winkel thanked the Council for their cooperation and <br /> support during his tenure as Fire Chief and also thanked <br /> them for their understanding in those instances when his <br /> service to the Fire Department took him away from his duties <br /> as a City employee. <br /> ADOPT AGENDA <br /> Mayor Sather asked to add the adoption of Resolution 92-20 <br /> Commending Dan Winkel's service as Fire Chief to the Consent <br /> Calendar, Acting Clerk Administrator Iago advised that the <br /> candidate who had been offered the position of <br /> Receptionist/Clerk Typist has withdrawn her acceptance of <br /> the position; she asked to remove item 7E "Request <br /> Authorization to Hire Receptionist/Clerk Typist" from <br /> Unfinished and New Business, <br /> MOTION: Malone moved, seconded by Hicks, to adopt the March 30. <br /> 1992 agenda with the changes noted above. Motion <br /> carried unanimously (4-0) . <br /> APPROVAL OF.COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> . MOTION: Mahowald moved, seconded by Hicks, to approve the <br /> minutes of the March 9, 1992 Regular Council Meeting as <br /> prepared. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br />
