MINUTES CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING March 30, 1992 7:30 P.M. - City Hall ~ALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather called to order the regular City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. Present: Mayor Thomas Sather; Councilmembers Dale Hicks, Thomas Mahowald, Paul Malone. Absent: Councilmember JoAnn Growe. Also present were: City Attorney, Jerry Filla; City Engineer, Mark Graham; Parks Director, John Buckley; Public Works Superintendent, Dan Winkel; Acting Clerk Administrator, Catherine Iago; Recording Secretary, Shar Foster. PRESENTATION OF PLAOUE - FORMER FIRE CHIEF DAN WINKEL Mayor Sather, on behalf of the City, presented Dan Winkel with a plaque of recognition and read aloud Resolution 92-20 commending Dan Winkel for six years of service as Fire Chief . of the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department, The audience applauded Winkel's service and accomplishments. Dan Winkel thanked the Council for their cooperation and support during his tenure as Fire Chief and also thanked them for their understanding in those instances when his service to the Fire Department took him away from his duties as a City employee. ADOPT AGENDA Mayor Sather asked to add the adoption of Resolution 92-20 Commending Dan Winkel's service as Fire Chief to the Consent Calendar, Acting Clerk Administrator Iago advised that the candidate who had been offered the position of Receptionist/Clerk Typist has withdrawn her acceptance of the position; she asked to remove item 7E "Request Authorization to Hire Receptionist/Clerk Typist" from Unfinished and New Business, MOTION: Malone moved, seconded by Hicks, to adopt the March 30. 1992 agenda with the changes noted above. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) . APPROVAL OF.COUNCIL MINUTES . MOTION: Mahowald moved, seconded by Hicks, to approve the minutes of the March 9, 1992 Regular Council Meeting as prepared. Motion carried unanimously (4-0).
