<br /> Arden Hills Council 14 June 8, 1992 . <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved, seconded by Growe, to approve a variance <br /> to sideyard setback of three feet for the expansion of <br /> the garage at 3465 Siems Court (Case 92-10), with the <br /> conditions that: <br /> - The building plans and elevation for the addition <br /> be reviewed and approved by the Planning <br /> Commission; <br /> - The applicant satisfactorily address the drainage <br /> issue involving the proposed garage at 3465 Siems <br /> Court and the neighboring garage. <br /> Motion carried (4-0-1; Mahowald abstained). <br /> SAC CHARGES FOR ARDEN MANOR <br /> Attorney Filla reported that a meeting between the Arden <br /> Manor Park owner and the Metropolitan Waste Control <br /> Commission (MWCC) , the purpose of which is to determine how <br /> sites should appropriately be charged SAC charges, was <br /> originally set for June 6, but has been postponed to June <br /> 12. Filla stated that the City, as collection agency for <br /> the MWCC, will administer collections based upon the outcome <br /> of the June 12 meeting. Filla will follow up on this item. <br /> . <br /> DISCUSSION - MAY FINANCIAL REPORTS <br /> Temporary City Accountant, Terry Post, provided Council with <br /> May 1992 financial reports. Post stated that with regard to <br /> year-to-date-receipts and disbursements, he would prefer to <br /> report after necessary account variances are properly <br /> posted. Council thanked Post for an excellent job in <br /> reporting and keeping Council abreast of financial <br /> conditions. <br /> MEDICAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR <br /> PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE FRED REED <br /> Public Works Superintendent Winkel reported that the medical <br /> progress of public works employee, Fred Reed, has slowed per <br /> Mr. Reed's doctor. Winkel stated that he has discussed the <br /> payroll situation with Reed who is aware of all the issues <br /> and has requested a 90-day medical leave. <br /> MOTION: Mahowald moved, seconded by Growe, to grant a 90-day <br /> unpaid medical leave of absence, as requested by Fred <br /> Reed, commencing June 10, 1992 to September 10, 1992. <br /> Motion carried unanimously (5-0) . <br /> RESIGNATION - MAUREEN WINKEL . <br /> BUILDING MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE <br /> Public Works Superintendent Winkel reported that Maureen <br /> Winke 1 has submitted her resignation from the position of <br />
