He added that in discussing this with Ms. Winkel, she indicated she would be willing to continue her position until September 1992 if the matter of compensation (which has not been increased over the past three years) could be reviewed. MOTION: Malone moved, seconded by Hicks, to direct the Public Works Superintendent to determine an appropriate market rate for the building maintenance position, offer that rate to Maureen Winkel, and look for a replacement after September 1, 1992. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). COUNCIL COMMENTS TOUR OF CITY HALLS Acting Clerk Administrator Iago inquired and received a count of Councilmembers planning on touring city halls on June 10, 1992. ~~NIOR_HOUSING PROJECT - . COTTAGE LIFESTYLES ~ JOIUL ARKELL Acting Clerk Administrator Iago asked if Council is interested in meeting further with John Arkell regarding the proposed senior housing project. Consensus of Council was that Mr. Casserly could provide input On this matter, given the fact that it would involve many elements inel uding tax increment financing. Iago volunteered to compile information from other cities to assist Council in this matter. INTERVIEWING - CLERK ADMINISTR~r~_~ Councilmember Hicks asked what arrangement the City has made with the Jim Brimeyer Group. Councilmember Mahowald explained the Jim Brimeyer Group has been asked to assist the City in the process of filling the vacant Clerk Administrator position, at a cost of approximately $3,000. It was noted that interview with Brimeyer is scheduled for the June 15 worksession. KEITHSON POND councilmember Hicks recalled the former City Engineering consultant had discussed other corrective measures for . Keithson Pond. Engineer Graham noted he had conversations with the former engineer but the corrective measure did not appear to be a viable solution. Hicks expressed frustration with the Keithson Pond issue.
