<br /> . . . <br /> . <br />Arden Hills Council 16 June 8, 1992 <br />Councilmember Malone said it is important to note that most <br />comments received this evening regarding Keithson Pond were <br />simply accusations and misstatements of fact, but did not <br />deal with the assessment per se. <br />Councilmember Mahowald advised that in reviewing his <br />calendar, he realized he will not be in attendance at the <br />June 29 Counc il meeting, and asked if Counci 1 would consider <br />rescheduling the continuation of Keithson Pond assessment <br />hearing until July 13 so he could be in attendance. <br />Engineer Graham reminded Council that all the residents <br />present this evening were informed that the meeting would <br />continue on June 29; if Council reschedules, renotification <br />of all residents would be necessary. <br />MOTION: Mahowald moved, seconded by Hicks, to move the <br /> continuation of Keithson Pond Assessment Hearing from <br /> June 29, 1992 to 7:30 p.m. on July 13, 1992, and direct <br /> staff to provide proper notice to residents. Motion <br /> carried unanimously (5-0). <br />Mayor sather commented that although it was not brought up . <br />at this evening's hearing, at one time the City Engineer and <br />the Keithson developer were ready to reshape the pond and <br />residents of the area stopped that action. He reminded that <br />residents have not supported the City throughout the entire <br />issue. He stated he would prefer to take action soon to <br />bring this issue to a close rather than chasing the issue of <br />past responsibility which does not appear to be cost <br />effective. <br />BUDGET INFORMATION <br />(This item was moved from Consent Calendar for the purpose <br />of discussion.) <br />Councilmember Malone referred to the direction given at the <br />last Council meeting for the Public Works Superintendent and <br />Parks Director to analyze and report regarding 1991 budget <br />variances. Malone said he was satisfied with the <br />completeness of the report regarding the 1991 Park Program <br />Fund deficit provided by Mr. Buckley and Mr. Post, but was <br />not satisfied with the reporting of public works variances <br />provided by Mr. Winkel. <br />Councilmember Mahowald commented that he too had questions <br />after reviewing Winkel's analysis of Public Works variances. <br />REGIONAL TRANSIT BOARD . <br />Mayor Sather announced that the Regional Transit Board has <br />officially approved the new mass transit plan (with minor <br />
