Absent: Rayrorrl <br /> M03raw arrl Council Liaison Thomas Mahowald. Also present: <br /> Councilmembers Paul Malone, Dale Hicks, arrl Newly elected eounci1Jnember <br /> Beverly Aplikowski, Planner John Bergly, Zoning Administrator catherine <br /> Iago arrl Recording Secretary Renee' Kaulfuss. <br /> DISCUSSICIll OF PROPC6ED ZCIlING CODE 1\MENl:MEN1'S <br /> Council was provided a summary of the major changes to the Zoni.n;J Code. See <br /> Attachment A. The following items of concern were discussed: <br /> * Accessory Home Occupations-Page 2 of Attachment A, 3b (1) (d) <br /> Define deliveries by private passenger vehicles or private delivery <br /> service vehicles (ie: UPS) No semi trucks; specify gross vehicle <br />. weight limitation. <br /> * under section 3c (1) (d) of same attachment - there is no mention <br /> of number of patrons. <br /> * Discussed prohibiting certain types of home occupations, (ie: sale of <br /> hand guns) - no change. <br /> * under POD in zoning Code booklet, V-19, 4 (e) take out the statement <br /> "nor will it take a "straw Vote". Commission would like to make it <br /> clear to applicant that a vote is not being taken, members are <br /> merely Offering suggestions. <br /> * Insert Preliminary Review process as option for all types of <br /> applications arrl a clause which provides forwarding review materials <br /> to Council upon request. <br /> * Review procedures - Up::1ate summary action sheet for handout to <br /> applicants . <br /> * Recreational vehicles - consider drafting a section defi.nirg boat <br /> storage arrl number allowed for lakeshore property. <br /> * Tenp::>rary Buildings - Discussed inserting a time limit not to exceed 5 <br /> years unless applicant requests an extension. <br /> * Pennitted Encroachments - Zoning Code booklet, VI-3 (2) b - delete <br /> retaining walls. - exterior earth retaining structures may encroach to <br /> within three (3) feet of any lot line. <br /> * CUrbing - Zoning Code booklet, VI-5 (2) c - delete arrl move to section <br /> VI-10. Any completed construction would be grandfathered in urrler <br /> =ent rules, arrl any new or replacement street appurtences would <br /> require con=ete =bing. <br />. Chair Probst arrl commission requested direction from Council to proceed arrl <br /> offered the following options: <br /> 1. Conduct an informal hearing to discuss only the Recreational Vehicle <br /> amerrlrnents. <br />
