Absent: Raymond <br /> McGraw and Council Liaison 'IhcInas MahcMald. Also present: <br /> Council1nembers Paul Malone, Dale Hicks, and Newly elected eouncil1nember <br /> Beverly Aplikowski, Planner John Bergly, Zoning Administrator Catherine <br /> rago and Recording Secretary Renee' Kaulfuss. <br /> DISCllSSICfi OF PROPOSED zctIIll; <XDE 1\MEtDIENl'S <br /> Council was provided a SUllIIlIaIY of the maj= changes to the Zoning Code. See <br /> Attachment A. The follCMing items of concern were di"""lSsed: <br /> * Accessory Home O::;cIlpations-Page 2 of Attachment A, 3b (1) (d) <br /> Define deliveries by private passen:Jer vehicles or private delivery <br /> service vehicles (ie: UPS) No semi trucks; specify gross vehicle <br /> . weight limitation. <br /> * Under section 3c (1) (d) of same attachment - there is no mention <br /> of number of patrons. <br /> * Discussed prohibiting certain types of home occupations, (ie: sale of <br /> hand guns) - no change. <br /> * Under PUD in Zoning Code booklet, V-19 , 4 (e) take out the statement <br /> "n= will it take a "straw Vote". O:Jmmission would like to make it <br /> clear to applicant that a vote is not being taken, members are <br /> merely offering suggestions. <br /> * Insert Preliminary Review process as option for all types of <br /> applications and a clause which provides forwarding review materials <br /> to Council upon request. <br /> * Review procedures - Update SUllIIlIaIY action sheet for handout to <br /> applicants. <br /> * Recreational Vehicles - consider drafting a section defining boat <br /> storage and number allCMed for lakesh=e property. <br /> * Terrporary Buildings - Discussed inserting a time limit not to exceed 5 <br /> years unless applicant requests an extension. <br /> * Permitted Encr"oachments - Zoning Code booklet, VI-3 (2) b - delete <br /> retaining walls. - exterior earth retaining structures may encroach to <br /> within three (3) feet of any lot line. <br /> * CUrbing - Zoning Code booklet, VI-5 (2) c - delete and move to section <br /> VI-10. Any completed construction would be grandfathered in under <br /> =ent rules, and any new or replacement street appurtences would <br /> require concrete curbing. <br /> . Chair Probst and commission requested direction from Council to proceed and <br /> offered the folla.ring options: <br /> l. Conduct an infonnal hearing to discuss only the Recreational Vehicle <br /> amendments. <br />
