Dear Ms. Person: <br /> During Fall 1992, a private development to install sanitary sewer and water main was <br /> requested by four property owners south of County Road E along Lake Johanna. The work <br /> consisted of installation of 430 linear feet of 6" water main and 400 linear feet of 8" sanitary <br /> sewer. These utilities were extended from existing City facilities. The Contractor for the <br /> project was Gary Contracting Co., rnc.. <br /> As directed by the City, we have inspected the installation of these utilities and found the <br /> work to be in compliance with the approved plans and specifications. We have also worked <br /> with Public Works Supervisor Dan Winkel to ensure compliance with all City requirements. <br /> All necessary tests have been completed on the improvements with positive results. <br /> As outlined by the contract specifications, a one-year guarantee is required from the <br /> Contractor for the utility improvements. This warranty period begins at the date of final <br /> acceptance by the City Council. <br /> We therefore recommend that the City Council accept these improvements contingent upon <br /> receipt of the performance bond.
