See photo 2. <br />I 2.1.2 Seal weld all bolted roof framing connections of <br /> the roof rafters at the center compression ring, <br />. including the compression ring connections. <br /> After welding, remove all nuts and bolts. See <br />II photos 3 and 4. <br />Ie 2.1.3 At present the roof rafters are not connected to <br /> the tank shell. Install 24 gusset plates to <br /> connect the roof rafters to the shell to bring <br />II the roof snow load capacity into conformance <br /> with current AWWA D-100 codes. See photos <br />. 5 through 7, and AEC drawing SC#l. <br />. 2.1. 4 In order to prevent rust streaks and corrosion, <br /> epoxy caulk the seam between the roof plate and <br />~ the shell stiffener angle. See photos <br /> 5 through 8. <br />. 2.1.5 Remove all erection bracket scab marks below the <br />. High Water Level (HWL) by air arc gouging, <br /> cutting torch, or grinding. There are <br />I approximately 230 erection bracket scab marks. <br /> Repair the tank surface by welding or grinding. <br />..
