Discussion continues on the matter of the Arden Place Drainage project <br /> f= a private/public agreement between the City, Noyed, Bongard and <br /> Bauer. It appears that this agreement will be final or near final prior <br /> to the hearings scheduled for the Council meeting. Enclosed with your <br /> packet is a copy of a letter sent to the 10 property owners previously <br /> proposed to l:e affected by this ilnprovernent. '!his letter mentions that <br /> if the agreement is accepted, the Public Hearings may be continued to <br /> the November 29 meeting or may not need to be conducted on November 8 - <br /> see attached proposed agreement and CJ:Ner fram City Attorney. <br /> 2. Consent Calendar - <br /> a. Score funding Grant in #93-57 - Annual renewal for receipt of <br />. funds from RaInsey County, is anticipated to be $19,408 for 1994. <br /> The 1994 budget is $75,205, with the remainder of funds l:eing <br /> received from a per parcel charge of $24.86. <br /> b. Sanitary Sewer Improvement, East Shore lake Johanna - last of the <br /> six easements to be acquired for this project. Previous five were <br /> accepted by the Council a few meetings ago. <br /> c. Per the last w=ksession discussion, the Council concurred with <br /> staff recommendations to increase the fee for a dog license to <br /> $15.00/2 years (fram $10.00/2 years) and the Liquor Investigation <br /> fee to $150 in 1994 and $200 in 1995 (from $100 in 1993). <br /> d. staff reconunerrls that Council approve an attorney who specializes <br /> in economic development and tax in=ernent financing to assist <br /> staff in specialized cases such as the Gateway Business District. <br /> Bradley & Deike, P.A. is the recormnended choice. 'Ihese attorneys <br /> have had experience with nl.lIllerous cities and developers in cases <br /> involving TIF. Brian has worked with these attorneys in several <br /> cities and highly reconmends them. Carolyn Drude at Ehlers & <br /> Assoc. has also confirmed their abilities. <br /> 3. Enclosed is a letter fram Robert Bainbridge requesting to l:e put on the <br /> agenda to express his concerns regarding the Anderson variance <br /> application which was addressed at the last Council meeting. It was <br /> explained to him that the Anderson issue will not be coming to Council <br /> per their request. He still indicated his desire to attend and be <br /> heard. <br />. <br />
