'Ihe Engineer is notifying Ramsey County of possible turnback of roadways <br /> within a ten year period, J:::e brought to the level 90 at County expense, <br /> am turned back to the City. 'Ihe City tmder this and a maintenance <br /> agreement would agree to turnback of County Road F from New Brighton <br /> border to Snelling Ave. in exchange f= the turnback of County Road F <br /> between Lexin;Jt.on and HaInline Avenues from the City to the County. This <br /> completion requires approval to the State Aid Engineer to allow the city <br /> to put County Road F J:::etween the New Brighton border and Snelling Ave. <br /> on the Municipal State Aid System, with the County agreeing to <br /> facilitate reconstruction of County Road F. <br /> 5. Appeals of the storm Water Maintenance Fee have been received from Alpo <br /> Foods and Mrs. C.E. Sheehy (1505 Edgewater Ave.). It is anticipated <br /> that these appeals will J:::e heard by the CoW1Cil on November 29. <br /> Miscellaneous <br />. 1- Attached is a request for nominations for an opening in the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed District Board of Managers. This vacancy is for a three year <br /> term. In the event you have a nomination, please let me !mow as fonns <br /> are available at the City Hall. <br /> 2. It is interesting to note the newspaper article re: bingo at the Newport <br /> City CoW1Cil - Turners Auxiliary and anticipated Turner's Gymnastics. <br /> 3. Tam Mulcahy from the Rotary has asked f= City participation in this <br /> group. He has indicated that they are a public service group, non <br /> profit. 'lhey meet once a week with a $550 - $600 year fee. AsI <br /> tmderstand the city has not had memberships in many civic groups. <br /> CUrrently the City has membership in the North Suburban ChaInber of <br /> Conunerce. I request the Council to =nsider the opportunities in which <br /> different community outreach can J:::e accomplished. If the Council wishes <br /> to identify these opportunities, some groundrules may need to J:::e set. <br /> Some potential =nsiderations include: non profit, community based, <br /> service based, multi use/networking for City projects, =ntacts, <br /> volunteer base, etc. <br /> It would J:::e appreciated if the Council would =nsider this and advise <br /> Dorothy in a few weeks. <br /> 4. 'lhe letter that was sent to Senator Linda Runbeck from the Office of the <br /> State Auditor Mark Dayton, has been forwarded by her to the city in the <br /> event that the City is interested in applying for a grant from the state <br />. Board of Government Innovation and Cooperation. Ramsey County has asked <br /> the City to J:::e a part of an application for the Joint Project for the <br />
