It is rreant to be a <br /> reflection of the discussions held earlier. When ccmpleted, it can be <br /> used as a guideline for new and aTITent ccmnittee members. <br /> In order to ccmplete each individual Ccmnittee/Ccmnission's goals and <br /> mission staterrent in a timely l1\3.IlI1er for 1994, the designated Council <br /> Liaison is requested to return the Ccmnittee goals and mission staterrent <br /> (rough draft fonn is acceptable) by the FebruaJ:y 17 Council worksession <br /> for review by Mayor and Council. <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> . CITY OF ARDEN HILIS <br /> CITIZEN ~TIEE INFORMATICN <br /> MISSION : <br /> A citizen ccmnittee in Arden Hills is a highly visible and integral part <br /> of citizen representation and participation. The purpose of a Citizen <br /> Advisory Ccmnittee is to act as an independent citizen representative to <br /> advise the City Council in the areas of Ccmnittee involvement and <br /> expertise. The Ccmnittees consist of: Finance, Econcmic Cevelq::ment, <br /> Human Rights, Public Safety and Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and <br /> the Planning Ccmnission. <br /> ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> A lII3.jor responsibility of each Ccmnittee member is to provide a basis of <br /> ccmnunication to and fran the public to the City Council. In order to <br /> lII3.intain ccmnunications, any Ccmnittee/representatives are encouraged to <br /> attend Council meetings at any time, but at least once a year. <br /> PROJEcr PRIORITIES <br /> Each Ccmnittee identifies projects in the City for that specific <br /> technical area and makes recarrrendations to the Council. The Ccmnittee <br /> is encouraged to initiate independent projects and ideas, adopt a long <br /> range plan, or review needs that have not yet been identified. <br /> Annually, the Council receives reccmrendations fran each Ccmnittee <br /> . showing the past year's accatplish1rents and plans priorities for the <br /> following year. Council reviews and adopts a listing of project <br /> priorities. Priorities can be identified by the Ccmnittee with <br />
