The skating rinks are scheduled to remain open until February 21- <br /> . The rinks were closed January 14, 15, 17 and 18 due to extremely <br /> cold weather. If the weather continues to be colder, there llIaY be <br /> a request from residents to remain open past the February 21. <br /> Staff suggests to Council this would be permissible with <br /> consideration given to staying within b.1dget. <br /> b. Cindy is in the process of suhnitted the initial infonnation for a <br /> grant from the DNR. It is an OUtdoor Recreation Grant ai1ned at <br /> park a<XJUisition and/or development/redevelopment. The sutrnission <br /> will be for a possible redevelopment of Perry Park. The city <br /> would need to fund at least 50% of the total project cost. <br /> c. Cindy will begin working on a park comprehensive plan. Inventory <br /> will be taken and facility and equipment needs will be evaluated. <br /> Public Works: <br /> a. Dan and Terry continue to work with Terry Maurer to review the <br /> surface Water Management rates be~ charged to the Townhome <br /> Ass=iation. A report will be available shortly_ <br /> b. Attached is a letter received from resident SUZanne Gregg <br /> request~ a stop sign be placed at El:lgewater Avenue at Prior <br /> Avenue. <br /> c. The City of Shoreview is conduct~ a meeting on Wednesday, <br /> February 16 from 7: 00-9: 00 pm to discuss the reconstruction of <br /> County Road 1. In addition, Ramsey County is corrlucting a meet~ <br /> on February 25 from 9:00-10:30 am at the Shoreview Conununity <br /> Center to discuss the 1994 MNIXJl' construction projects. <br /> . <br />
