Mr. Fritsinger replied the plaza is in the process of foreclosure, and he is currently working with the property managers hired by the receivership. Mr. Rye stated the plaza is an ideal spot for a clinic because the layout of the property makes it a destination spot. Chair Winiecki again asked the difference between Shoreview and Arden Hills regarding their respective staff? Mr. Fritsinger explained Shoreyiew has full time positions and Arden Hills doesn't. Mr. Fritsinger's position has a wide variety of duties rather than just contacting businesses and working on development. Chair Winiecki expressed agreement with Mr. McGraw. She felt promotional letters and brochures are needed to explain . Arden Hills, the property available to be deyeloped and the help available for businesses interested in Arden Hills. Mr. Rye asked if a brochure is as important as a personal contact with a prospective business. Councilmember Aplikowski stated most people have a misconception of Arden Hills and think the City has been annexed by either New Brighton or Shoreview. Mr. Fritsinger stated a brochure is a more detailed overview and can be reyiewed by the business until the next contact with the staff. Councilmember Aplikowski explained the City has nothing in place which identifies the interest to attract businesses to Arden Hills. Mr. Rye asked if Staff'has the technology to produce a brochure. Steye Erickson stated we need a flexible brochure to focus on service, retail or manufacturing depending on the type of business. Fist we need to know how far the City is willing to go on roads and development. He mentioned Shoreview's plans to expand the strip where Dairy Queen is located. .
