<br /> DRAFT <br /> MINUTES <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> . FEBRUARY 17, 1994 <br /> 8:00 A.M. <br /> Present: Tom Goblirsch, Brian Fritsinger, Jerry Moehnke, Dan <br /> McCallum, Mary Miller, Steve Freimuth, Trygve Egge, <br /> Terry Nagle, Beyerly Aplikowski, and Thomas Steele. <br /> Absent; Arnold Lindberg. <br /> 1. Meeting was called to order at 8;07 a.m. <br /> 2 . Approval of Minutes <br /> Moehnke moyed and Miller seconded the motion to approve the <br /> January 20, 1994 minutes. <br /> 3. Business Survey <br /> Mr. Moehnke reviewed the format of the proposed survey. <br /> Some of the general comments were to; add the phone number <br /> next to the address; try to get the survey on one page; <br /> address envelope directly to company president and enclose a <br /> self addressed stamped envelope; boxes should be added for <br /> easy check off on questions. <br /> A question was raised if the survey should be re-tooled for <br /> the six to ten companies which are largest in Arden Hills. <br /> . The issue was not resolved. <br /> The survey should be completed and mailed as soon as <br /> possible. The committee will get the final draft to Mr. <br /> Fritsinger at City Hall. Mr. Fritsinger will then fax the <br /> draft to each of the committee members for reyiew. <br /> 4. Letter of Introduction <br /> Overall the committee thought the letter looked good. The <br /> City will look at copying the letter on letterhead rather <br /> than sending it to a printer. Mr. Lindberg should sign the <br /> original letter. Mr. Moehnke should be identified as vice- <br /> chairperson. <br /> Beverly Aplikowski will try to reyamp the letter to include <br /> names and numbers of all committee members. A final draft, <br /> sent to Brian Fritsinger, will be faxed with the suryey to <br /> each member of the committee. <br /> 5. Oath of office - The oath of office was administered to Trig <br /> Egge, Steve Freimuth, and Terry Nagle. <br /> 6. Miscellaneous - Beyerly Aplikowski discussed the resignation <br /> of Mr. Charles Stoddard. This leaves open 1 seat on the <br /> committee. Possibly talk to Ray McGraw about volunteering. <br /> . <br />
