With the gcx:x:i spring weather we are currently experiencing, the <br /> Public Works crew is street sweeping. '!hey are concentrating on <br /> cleaning up the worst areas first, which includes the areas around <br /> the lakes and waterways. <br /> b. The Public Works/Safety Ccmnittee will be rreeting on M:lrch 15 and <br /> an agenda topic will be to further discuss the Street Sign policy. <br /> It is anticipated to be brought back to Council at your March 28 <br /> Council rreeting. <br /> c. Ramsey County has notified the City that effective at 12: 01 am on <br /> M:nday, March 14, all County roads will be posted with load <br /> restrictions. '!he City will be posting load restrictions on all <br /> City streets on March 14 for an approximate pericx:l of 4-6 weeks. <br /> d. Townhane appeal of Surface Water fee - there was sane confusion <br /> regarding the interpretation of the adopted resolution at the last <br /> Council rreeting. Engineer Terry Maurer is IlOW' back and staff is <br /> working on this issue. If there are any further questions, this <br /> will be brought up at the worksession and/or the Council rreeting <br /> of March 28. <br /> e. We have received word that MNIXYI' plans to overlay HWY 96 in 1994. <br />. They question their Right-of-Way in front of City Hall and our <br /> wooded "Village of Arden Hills" location. Staff is working with <br /> them and will update you as information bee<.:::KreS available. <br /> Parks & Recreation <br /> a. Attached is a chart showing usage of the Arden Hills skating <br /> rinks. nus chart includes hockey, broanball, Lake Region hockey <br /> and general skating. '!here was a total of 6,008 participants. <br /> The rinks closed earlier than expected due to the wann weather. <br /> b. Arbor Day is scheduled for April 30. Sare planting will take <br /> place on April 29 to accarm::xjate the school groups during school <br /> hours . <br /> Carmunity Planning <br /> a. Spring Clean Up Day is scheduled for May 17. MJre information <br /> will be forthcaning. <br /> V. Handouts <br /> a. MJunds View School District is inviting a representative fran the <br /> City to attend a rreeting on April 11 frcm 7: 00-8 : 30 pn to discuss <br /> District 621 Graduation Standards. (See letter enclosed) . <br /> b. The Girl Scouts Council is seeking a representative frcm the City <br /> to present the Arden Hills' Girl Scout recipient her certificate <br /> or plaque for her Girl Scout Gold Award which is the highest award <br /> a girl can eam in Girl Scouting.
