John McClung Development - Cindy Severtson <br /> Cindy provided the committee with an update on the walking path that runs <br /> behind City Hall. She stated McClung will donate the remaining property <br /> needed to complete the project. She talked about the percent of property <br /> donated and/or cash donation for the development. Seeing the property does <br /> not meet the guidelines, she is recommending that in lieu of cash that City/Parks <br /> ask McClung to grade the NSP easement at the south end of the path to <br /> eliminate the cliff-like area at Colleen. <br /> ***Motion to accept land from McClung Development and requested grading in <br /> lieu of cash from McClung. The requested grading must be to the specifications <br /> set by the City and the Park Department. Motion was passed. (This is <br /> continent upon the Planning Commission's review of John McClung's <br /> development. ) <br /> Cindy went on to state that the townhouse complex may be interested in paving <br /> their portion of the trail. This would help reduce the estimate paving costs for <br /> the trail. <br /> 7. Little Lakes Little League proposal . <br /> Discussion followed on the proposal submitted Dave Bemlohr, Little Lakes <br /> Little League. Although the committee was in favor of LLLL submitting a <br /> four-year proposal, there was lengthy discussion on the specific points and order <br /> of the proposal. Cindy did state there were several points that were not <br /> acceptable because of the general use needs of the fields. She did state she <br /> would like to see approval of the proposal with the possibility to amend it as <br /> needed. Several areas of concern which were stated including the maintenance <br /> of the equipment and the associated costs and the neighborhood reactions to the <br /> bleachers, improvements to Perry Park, to name a few. <br /> Dennis recommended the committee request drawings of the proposed <br /> improvements from LLLL. These drawings along with the committee 's <br /> recommendations would then to the Council for consideration. Seeing the <br /> Council is in the process of reviewing improvements to Perry Park, it would be <br /> very helpful in their discussions. <br /> 8. Five Year Capital Plan <br /> Cindy provided information to the committee on the five year plan developed by . <br /> the Park & Recreation Department. She went into detail as to what projects <br /> would be completed in 1994. Discussion followed on proposed improvements <br />
