Mileage reimbursement - Several staff rrembers have asked for review of <br /> the current rate of mileage reimbursement. The current rate is $.24 per <br /> mile. The rate is reccmrended to be increased to $.29 per mile based on <br /> the standard frcm the federal government and as accepted by the IRS. <br /> This mileage change in reimbursement would have a very swall impact on <br /> the budget. The change to $.29 per mile is reccrrmended to be effective <br /> irrmediately. <br /> 2. Diseased tree bid up:late - the bid the City received frcm Precision 'Tree <br /> Cr.:xTpany was higher than the City had obtained in the past. Staff is <br /> currently in the process of obtaining quotes in hopes of finding a lower <br />. price. Staff is hoping to contract with Arps Tree Service. Gary Arps <br /> had not suhnitted a quote to Cindy as of this date. Cindy will let me <br /> know when an acceptable quote is obtained. As a reminder, quotes are <br /> allowed for services under $25,000 (which this one is). The Precision <br /> Tree Service bid would then be rej ected. <br /> 3. See merro frcm Public Works Superintendent, Dan Winkel up:lating the <br /> O:luncil on the status of the Stop Sign policy. <br /> 4. Handouts outlining the Ccmnittees and Ccmnission feedback are <br /> anticipated to be distributed at the Council w::>rksession. Nothing is <br /> enclosed at this time. <br /> DAP:rk <br />. <br />
