Area Identification Signs - The ordinance allows 1 area identification sign per frontage on public streets with a rMXi.murn of 2 per area. The number of signs proposed w:JUld be consistent with this section of the ordinance. 2. Ser""...,k" - The required setback on this property for area identification signs is 15 feet along County Road E and 20 feet along Lexington Avenue. The proposed setbacks on the area identification signs are 15 and 20 feet on the proposed sign and 35 feet on the existing. Directional signs have no minimum setback fran the street right -of -way. 'Ihis sign =uld not be located within the right-of-way, setback is approximately 8 feet. 3. ~ - The proposed sizes are as follows: A. Lexington identification sign - 81 square feet, 16 . feet high. B. County Road E identification sign - 88 square feet, 16 feet high. C. County Road E directional sign - 9 square feet, 6 feet high. Both area identification signs fall within the pennitted 100 square f=t and 16 f=t height allowances. The directional sign =uld require a variance I::oth to its height and its total square f=tage. 4. IlJ umination - Each of these signs will be inte:rnally illuminated with fluorescent lamps. No animation or flashing parts will be included . 5. Variance - A granting of a variance fran the dimensional requirerrents of the ordinance shall require a finding of fact that an undue hardship exists or that the granting of the variance =uld not be materially detrirrental to the public welfare or injurious to the property or improverrents in the vicinity or zone in which the property is located. .
