Motion <br /> carried unanimously (5-0) . <br /> a, Approve list of Claims/Payroll. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> There were no public comments. <br /> UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS <br /> DISCUSSION' NATIONAL GUARD REOUEST FOR PARTICIPATION IN BASE <br /> SEWER FUNDING. <br /> Councilmember Probst noted that the City had received a <br /> request from the National Guard to participate in funding <br /> a sewer connection that would serve their immediate need <br /> for their existing maintenance facility north of Highway <br /> 96 and west of the extension of Hamline Avenue. He . <br /> further noted that there had been discussion between the <br /> City Administrator, the Public Works Superintendent and <br /> Tom Ryan from the National Guard regarding the National <br /> Guard requesting the City'S participation in oversizing <br /> the pipe, in as much as the City had participated in an <br /> oversized pipe with the Army. Further discussions seem <br /> to indicate that the National Guard was requesting the <br /> City to assist in the provision of service to that <br /> location. The National Guard had also made a similar <br /> request to Ramsey County. Probst understood that Ramsey <br /> County was not prepared to participate in any cost <br /> sharing agreement at this time, due to a lack of any <br /> assurance that Ramsey County would have any access to the <br /> property. <br /> Administrator Person noted that if the City would <br /> participate in the cost of this sewer funding, it may <br /> give the Army some indication that the City was serious <br /> about entering into an agreement with them. <br /> Malone asked if staff was given any indication of the <br /> magnitude of the cost of this project? Councilmember <br /> Probst noted that the anticipated total cost of the <br /> project was $180,000. From the correspondence received, <br /> it appeared that the National Guard had approximately . <br /> $70,000 to apply to this project. The National Guard was <br /> . <br />
