Planning Minutes Page 14 07/06/94 <br /> McGraw's option to not include a mandatory report to the <br /> City with plan of action as it relates to condition #15, <br /> CASE #94-19: ZONING ORDINANCE - OPEN SALES LOT. <br /> Vice Chair Piotrowski opened the public hearing for the <br /> Zoning Ordinance Amendment at 9:10 p.m, Recording <br /> Secretary, Tammy Olson, confirmed the publication of the <br /> Notice of Hearing in the FOCllS on Tuesday, June 21, 1994, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated this past winter the City Council had <br /> adopted a new ordinance for transient merchants and <br /> peddlers, There was still a question as to what was allowed <br /> by the Zoning Ordinance. The City is trying to clarify what <br /> is allowed and what isn't. The City attorney has proposed <br /> to add language to retail sales and services, It would read <br /> as follows; " . . . motor vehicle sales, motor vehicle leasing <br /> and rentals, exterior equipment rental and sales lots, <br /> repair garages and open sales lots are not included in this <br /> . definition of retail sales." <br /> Mr. Erickson asked if the City was eliminating the function <br /> of open sales lot, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated the City isn't eliminating the open <br /> sales lot, but the City wants to regulate them more closely. <br /> The Ordinance currently does not permit open sales lots in <br /> any district. <br /> Vice Chair Piotrowski asked for comments from the audience <br /> in favor of the change. Hearing none, she asked for <br /> comments from the audience in opposition of the change, <br /> Hearing no further comments, Vice Chair Piotrowski closed at <br /> 9:14 p,m, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger clarified a transient merchant can come to <br /> the City and rent a space in the Ramada or a mall but are <br /> prohibited from selling on the street corner. <br /> Mr. McGraw stated home grown produce can be sold on the <br /> . corner, <br />
