Therefore, it puts Arden Hills at even a stronger <br /> position, since they will be setting money aside for this, Mayor <br /> Probst stated that on Monday night, the City Council will, by <br /> resolution, decide who will be nominated by the City to be on the <br /> committee. Congressman Vento is aware of the interest Arden <br /> Hills has in the selection process for the reutilization <br /> committee. Mayor Probst stated that the Planning Commission <br /> should be active in this process and be prepared to be in a <br /> position to direct and guide them. He feels the diagram prepared <br /> by Ramsey County is a reasonable starting point for these <br /> discussions. Mayor Probst stated the need for active recreation <br /> facili ties.. The City would then want to program those <br /> facilities. <br /> Mr. Erickson asked where the plan is going from the committee. <br /> Is it the hopes that the governing body will adopt the plan? <br /> Mayor Probst stated this reutilization committee process was set <br /> up to handle base closures, It is to ward off having more than <br />. one plan submitted from each interested group. <br /> Mayor Probst asked for the Commission to make a specifi~ <br /> recommendation to the Council as to how they would like to <br /> proceed, <br /> Erickson motioned, seconded by Nelson, to recommend to the <br /> City Council a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) be drafted <br /> to identify potential consultants to aid in reutilization of <br /> the TCAAP property. The motion passed unanimously, (6-01 <br /> COUNCIL REPORT <br /> Mayor Probst welcomed the new members to the Planning CommissioR. <br /> Mayor Probst stated the last Council action taken on any planning <br /> cases was from the July Commission meeting in which the Council <br /> endorsed all the actions Fer the Planning Commissions' <br /> recommendations, They added a time stipulation of 90 days for <br /> Ryder to report back to the City on ways to start their vehicle5. <br />. Filing for candidacy opened on the 30th of August and closes <br /> - <br />
