<br /> City of Arden Hills Chapter 2 Administration <br />. examination process and shall be utilized for closely observing the employee's work, for <br /> securing the most effective adjustment of the employee to the position and for rejecting any <br /> employees whose performance does not meet all required work standards. At any time during <br /> the probationary period of an employee, the Clerk-Administrator or employee's department <br /> head may recommend to the City Council that an employee be transferred or dismissed if' <br /> their position is discontinued or if their performance does not meet the required standards. <br /> Subd. 2 Application. Original and promotional appointments for all positions shall be <br /> probationary and subject to a probationary period of six (6) months service after appointment. <br /> Subd. 3 Review. At least three (3) week prior to completion of the probationary period, the <br />. Clerk-Administrator or department head shall review the performance of a probationary <br /> employee and make a recommendation to the City Council. The matter shall be placed on the <br /> Council agenda for the next regular meeting at which time ~iCouncil shall consider the <br /> recommendation and make a determination as to whether the employee shall be continued as <br /> a regular full-time or regular part-time employee or be terminated. If the employee is not to <br /> be continued beyond the end of the probationary period, the employee shall be so notified be- <br /> fore the end of such period. <br /> Subd. 4 Credit fur Benefits During Probationary Period. During the probationary period, <br /> an employee wil:l ~mreceive paid holidays.
