The motion carried unanimously <br /> (4-0). <br /> Au~st 29 1994 Rerular Council Meetin!: <br /> Page 1: Malone noted that Councilmember Aplikowski should be addressed as Acting <br /> Mayor. <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve the August 29, 1994 <br /> City Council minutes, as corrected. The motion was unanimously approved (4-0). <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> MOTION: Malone moved and Hicks seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar and <br /> authorize execution of all necessary documents contained therein. The motion <br /> carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> . PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> There were none. <br /> UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS <br /> APPROVE PRFLlMINARY T .FVY. RESOLUTION NO. 94-42 <br /> Malone commended staff for an admirable job in putting together a budget without a significant <br /> increase. One of the key points in this budget is the provision for sinking funds for capital <br /> equipment for City general operations and fire equipment for the Fire Department. The increase <br /> of 4.9% is reasonable. <br /> The Mayor stated that he is also very pleased with the City's financial status this year and <br /> commended staff for their work. <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Malone seconded a motion to adopt Resolution No. 94-42 <br /> stating the proposed sums of money to be levied for levy year 1994, payable in <br /> 1995; and set the Truth-in-Taxation hearing for November 30, 1994, at <br /> 7:30 p.m., at the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant, Gate 3, Building 105, <br /> Main Floor Conference Room; and set the continuation hearing, if needed, for <br /> December 7, 1994, at the same location at 7:30 p.m. The motion was approved <br /> . unanimously (4-0). <br />
