OCT-13-94 THU 10:10 KATE H~€ESCH 6124:266699 F..02
-
Perry Park
We wish we may
(date)
Name
Company Name
Address
City/State
Dear (name):
As an active member of the community, you have helped make Arden Hills an enjoyable
place to live and work. Now. we invite you to participate in an exiting project that solves
one of the City's longtime problems. Charles Peny Park, our active used park, has a
number of safely issues. For e.xample, the ballfields are spaced too closely together so the
outfielders in one game collide with those playing in another. Also, too few park1ng spaces
. have led to haphazard and dangerous make-shift parking.
Through grants, City park funds and contributors like you, the Parks & Recreation
Committee intends to raise enough money to alleviate these problems over the next
three years.
The enclosed materials explain the park's problems and our proposal in detail. You will
gain a better understanding of the improvements needed and the number of lives they will
touch. We hope that you will agree that never have so few improvements benefited so
many.
I will contact with you in the nexl week or so to discuss this proposal ",;th you. In the
meantime, if you have any questions, please call me. My work number is /II/III. My home
phone number is 11/111.
Regards,
(name)
Arden Hills Parks & Recreation Committee'
- P.S. Our theme for the Perry Park redevelopment plan is "We wish we may" after the
children's poem, Starlight Starbright. Our goal is to see each of Perry Park's five problems
resolved. Five problems--like the five points in a star. A wishing star.
