<br />. , <br /> ARQEtJ HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION- NOVEMBER 17, 1994 3 <br />. <br /> Council concurred as to Mr. Fritsinger's proposed review and reduction of applicants and <br /> will meet further to give specific direction to the subcommittee for qualification <br /> guidelines, <br /> VACANT CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR POSITION; APPLICATION REVIEW <br /> /POINT EVALUATION PROCESS <br /> Acting Clerk Administrator Post indicated several applications have already been <br /> received with the deadline being November 25, 1994 and he expects additional <br /> applications before then. <br /> Mayor Probst inquired of the council their wishes as to the process of selection, he <br /> recommended a two member committee to review applications and report to the other <br /> councilmembers. <br /> Councilmembers Aplikowski and Keim volunteered to serve on this committee and <br /> would provide their guidelines for selection at the November 28, 1994, Regular City <br /> Council meeting. <br />. Mayor Probst indicated at the November 28 meeting the council could then comment <br /> and set a time frame for the selection process. <br /> PAY EQUIlY COMPLIANCE ISSUES AND ALTERNATIVES <br /> Mayor Probst indicated the necessity of planning the direction of the City so as to be <br /> compliant with the regulations and to prevent penalties. <br /> Mr. Post and Mr. Fritsinger presented information to the council and indicated options. <br /> Councilmember Malone provided additional information regarding previous direction <br /> and solutions. ~ <br /> Discussion was held at length regarding issues and alternatives. Council indicated that <br /> the staff proceed with the short term solution with the intention that the staff would go <br /> bad, to the plan strategies as set forth in 1991 for 1995 and follow through by managing <br /> the Pay Plan in the ensuing years to maintain compliance. <br /> Mr, Fritsinger indicated an extension can be requested, Mayor Probst indicated as long <br /> as penalties are avoided. <br />. <br />
