SUBJECT : November M:Jnthly Report The Highway 96 Task Force Crnrnittee met for the first time late last week. Ramsey County has established a schedule that '-"'JUld call for a final report or reccmrendation by the end of 1995. The proposed schedule is enclosed. I will be sitting on a subcannittee that will ch=se a consulting engineer for the reconstruction project. Staff has been working with Walter Dunnett of 3654 Old Snelling Avenue, who claims that the City is reSJXlnsible to pay for sewer and water services that apparently did not get installed on lots that he sold for development. The final 'as-built' plans do not indicate the . presence of sewer and water services on Mr. Dunnett's property. The Public Works =ew also tried on two occasions to locate services but were unable to do so. Staff is also preparing to do a major review of the Arden Hills sanitary sewer system. Costs to do this project are included in the 1995 budget. I have reviewed this with Engineer Chuck Janski from MSA and he has forwarded their cost estimate for my review. A recomne.11dation will be sent to Council in time for the Lecember 28th Council Meeting. Staff is also working with Ramsey County on the re=struction of the Cleveland Avenue bridge over the 8= Line railroad tracks. The bridge could be re-built as early as 1999. Federal and State funding will pay for the project. Arden Hills may incur sorre costs if additional walkways or trails are included to the proje8t. The feasibility study for the reconstruction of County Road F is well unde:rway. A public infolll'ation meeting can be scheduled as soon as the plans are complete. Staff will also meet with New Brighton to review the project. New Brighton has stated to staff that they will . be ready to do a joint project in 1995 on County Road F.
