This connection scenario would be the least expensive
alternative for the MNARNG and is therefore the preferred connection,
. The proposed water connection is located in the SW Quadrant ofHamline and 96. A ten (10) inch
watermain would be installed to serve the COMF,
. As a part of this formal request there are three drawings which show the proposed service
connections to The City of Arden Hills utility systems. The sewer connection includes option A and
B, Option A, the preferred option, requires repumping of the COMF wastewater. Option B
. discharges to a manhole which is the beginning of a gravity system.
Based on a meeting held on December 20, 1994 at the TCAAP which was attended by representatives
. of MNARNG, MBA, The City of Arden Hills and Ramsey County there are plans for future
development of City and/or County facilities north of Highway 96, The City and County may, in
conjunction with the MNARNG project, want to oversize utility services to serve more than just the
. COMF, The MNARNG will cooperate in a joint project whereby the City and/or County would pay
for the oversizing of services. The cost of oversizing could be established through the bidding
.. process,
It is the MNARNG's desire to complete the connection to the City of Arden Hills utility systems by
. July 1, 1995. It is therefore necessary for the City/County to provide sufficient information to the
MNARNG's consultant, MBA, so that alternative designs can be completed and bidding documents
can be prepared.
. Very truly yours,
.
. William R. Block, PE
MelchertlBlock Associates Inc.
. mb
xc: Wade Scepurek, Camp Ripley
.
.
..
.
