This new system will reduce redundant <br /> information and data entry, retrieve and manage data more efficiently, <br /> and enable us to share data with other County, City, State, and <br /> Federal criminal information systems. <br /> . ' " <br /> September 1994, the County Board authorized the Sheriff's Department <br /> to participate with the State of Minnesota-Department of Public Safety <br /> . and the St. Paul police Department on a joint effort to build and <br /> maintain a law enforcement training center that will include an indoor <br /> firing range. The Board also agreed in principle to permit the use of <br /> County-owned land if the Minnesota Department of Public Safety <br /> I provides the necessary funding to build the facility and the St. Paul <br /> police Department provides sufficient staff resources. <br /> Congratulations to this collaborative 9roup who have recognized the <br /> I need for a more efficient means of del~vering professional training to <br /> our sworn personnel. <br /> And finally, our appreciation 90es to Sheriff Patricia M. Moen, who <br /> I .rved during this year. Sher~ff Moen was appointed by the County . <br /> ard to fill in for the remainder of the term vacated by former <br /> Sheriff Charles L. Zacharias.
