She indicated the proposed pipeline would link to a contiguous water system. She I <br /> encourages the Commission to have the Environmental Assessment Worksheet. <br /> Ms. Hames encouraged the Commission to have this development in the most appropriate area I <br /> of the City. She indicated this area has been considered open space for 21 years. <br /> Ms. Hames raised the question as to why Bethel -College held onto the land, and felt that should - <br /> be reviewed as to the original use for the land. <br /> Ms. Hames indicated the concern for privacy of existing homes. I <br /> Ms. Hames indicated regarding the Zoning Ordinance, under Single Family R-1, states specifically - <br /> Single Family detached housing. She believed this should also be reviewed. <br /> Ms. Ann Marie Hoelscher 1750 Gramsie Road, indicated concern that fertilizer from lawns and I <br /> affect it would have on Valentine Lake. She indicated many residents fish on that lake and fish <br /> would be affected by the contamination of chemicals. <br /> Ms. Ellen (?) 1759 Glenview, she was child of about 10 years old, indicated the area was a treat ~I <br /> for her to go to and encouraged the Commission to keep it open space. <br /> Mr. Steve Herbz 3799 McCracken Lane, indicated most of his windows overlook open space, I <br /> he indicated a quote he had read " if you are the one doing the changing, it is always good; if the <br /> change is being done to you, it's bad. - <br /> Ms. Genavieve Person 1637 Glenview, indicated she has lived in Arden Hills for 42 years. She <br /> indicated she would be looking onto the roofs of this develop. She indicated there is constant - <br /> water in the area, and believes there would be drainage problems for a development. <br /> Mr. Jim Talbot 1840 Ramsey Road, indicated he remembers 25 years ago when DuPont sold I <br /> the land to Bethel College for $1. He indicated Bethel College has been a good neighbor and <br /> Arden Hills a good neighbor to Bethel College. He believed the College should donate the land I <br /> to the City for open space. <br /> Mr. Talbot indicated he felt if single family homes would be developed, there would only be I <br /> available space for six to eight homes. <br /> Mr. Les Crosswell 1622 Glenview Court, indicated concern that the increase in density would I <br /> change the character of the neighborhood. <br /> ~I <br /> I <br />
