The 7th paragraph of the first page was
I struck and the following was added in its stead. "The Arsenal
Clean-up and Conversion Project (ACCP) made a presentation. Janet
Groat told the committee that Jobs with Peace initially helped
organize the group and is now a member of ACCP. The ACCP is
I planning on scheduling 20 meetings, 5 meetings in each su=ounding
community, to solicit community involvement and input into the
conversion process. The ACCP will share with the committee the
.8 i~formation that it obtains after a final report is drafted." The
m~nutes were approved as amended.

I The agenda was moved. The National Guard presentation was struck
and the presentation by Paul Erickson of the Amateur sports
Commission was moved to the top of the presentations. The agenda
I was approved as amended.

OLD BUSINESS:
John Ostlund reported that the School District 621 survey would be
I completed in June. Several questions regarding TCAAP will appear on
the survey. It was resolved that the questions in the survey would
be sent to the committee members with the minutes to this meeting.

I NEW BUSINESS:
Paul Erickson of the Amateur sports Commission (ASC) gave the first
presentation. The ASC was created in ~987. They have built 8
I facilities in that time which have brought approximately $30-40
million into the Twin cities.

I TCAAP is a unique facility in the view of the ASC. It has the
greatest vertical drop in Ramsey County, which would easily
facilitate a ski jump. The nearest comparable ski jumps are located
in Hayward, wisc. or Giants Ridge.

I Other potential uses for the site would be a World Class Cross-
. Country Ski Race trail, National Class Ski Jump, World Class
. Biathlon, National Class Mountain Bike Course, and a Regional

.
