Department of Defense (000) has stated
its intention to classify some or all of Twin Cities Army
I Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) as excess property, for possible
disposal pursuant to federal excess property regulations.
TCAAP ~s situated entirely within the jurisdiction of the City of
I Arden Hills, Minnesota. I strongly believe local communities
should have substantial input regarding the future reuse of
I- excess property in accordance with applicable Federal
regulations.
Therefore, I am writing to let you know of my strong support for
I the City of Arden Hills' efforts to develop a master reuse plan
for TCMP. Please keep me apprised of any developments relating
to the future use of TeMP.
I In addition, I am aware that some requests already have been
submitted to DaD and the General Services Administration (GSA)
seeking to acquire some or all of TCMP. I would appreciate
I receiving copies of all such requests, including any
correspondence, memoranda, documents, or other written
communications from DaD and GSA relating to the possible reuse of
TeMP.
I The City of Arden Hills looks forward to working with DaD and GSA
as it begins to develop a community-based vision for the reuse of
I TCMP. Such cooperation will ensure that the City'S plan
maximizes the potential for redevelopment of TCAAP,
I Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to
hearing from you soon.
I ;;;;e/.~~ ~
Ie
Rod Grams
United States Senator
I PAINTED ON AECYCLED PAPER
-- - --- _n_
