F Streets, NW
Washington, District of Columbia 20405 I
Dear Mr. Johnson:
I understand that the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has stated I
its intention to classify some or all of Twin Cities Army
Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) as excess property, for possible I
disposal pursuant to federal excess property regulations.
TCMP is situated entirely within the jurisdiction of the City of
Arden Hills, Minnesota. I strongly believe local communities I
should have substantial input regarding the future reuse of
excess property in accordance with applicable Federal
regulations. el
Therefore, I am writing to let you know of my strong support for
the City of Arden Hills' efforts to develop a master reuse plan I
for TeMP. Please keep me apprised of any developments relating
to the future use of TeMP.
In addition, I am aware that some requests already have been .
submitted to DOD and the General Services Administration (GSA)
seeking to acquire some or all of TCAAP. I would appreciate
receiving copies of all such requests, including any I
correspondence, memoranda, documents, or other written
communications from DOD and GSA relating to the possible reuse of
TCMP.
The City of Arden Hills looks forward to working with DOD and GSA I
as it begins to develop a community-based vision for the reuse of
TCAAP. Such cooperation will ensure that the City's plan I
maximizes the potential for redevelopment of TCAAP.
Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to
hearing from you soon. .
Sincer;z I
&: ~.T tI.
od Grams
United States Senator
PRINTED ON ReCYCLeD PAPER .
