The laOOscape plan and median width may I <br />change as the highway passes through various cities, but the number oflanes will not <br />City CQ$ls I <br />Ramsey County is proIXJSing to change Hwy % rom a rural highway to an wban highway with the <br />addition of curb and gutter. This would be done with Ramsey County gas tax money. Owing the <br />reconstruction, the City costs will include some landscaping tees, ]lOSSlble street lighting (if the City I <br />chooses to have lights), and ongoing maintenance of the landscaping. Any additional traffic signals will <br />probably cost the City 50"10 of the cost At this time, it seems 1hat all other costs will be bome by Ramsey , <br />County. The trnil will hopefully be Federal or State funded. <br />Council Input Needed , <br />The Council should identifY possible access and curb cut points along the Arden Hills section of the road. <br />These may be the same as we currently have or they could change if needed. <br />As I previously mentioned, the median width and landscape may vary rom city to city. It is my I <br />1.Illdetstandin 1hat these areas would be partially funded and mainrained by the individual cities.
