June 27.1995. Letter from Mrs. Nancy Levine appealing her assessment at 1926 I Stowe Avenue. As the Council did not have an opportunity to act on this appeal, I'm anticipating placing it on the July 10, 1995 Meeting for formal action. The front I footage on her lot was found to be incorrect and has been reduced from 200 to 174 feet on tlte final roiL This in turn reduced her actual assessment to slightly more than $5500. Staffhas also sent follow up letters to all affected property owners as a result ,- of the Assessment Hearing. 2 June 22. 1995. Letter from Lake Jobanna Fire Department including copies of I the April Mutual Aid Fire Run Reports. 3. June 22. 1995 Letter from Lee Stotesberrv addressing concerns about visibility I on the corner of Colleen and Hamline Avenues. Tree Inspector Winkel will be reviewing this for further action and will contact the property owner. I 4. June 30. 1995. Memorandum from Kevin Ringwald discussing the Ogren POO application. Staffhas been discussing the impact of the EA W on the Ogren proposal I and carefully considering procedurally the Public Hearing scheduled for July 5, 1995. 5. Public Works Superintendent - This position has been accepted by Dwayne I Stafford. Mr. Stafford will begin with the City on Monday, July 10, 1995. Mr. Stafford has almost thirty (30) years private sector background in the construction! utility industry. , Mr. Staffords' strength are in the area of construction, crew management and dealing with customers. To aid Mr. Stafford's transition to the public sector, I would ask I that Staff and the Council provide any background or assistance that tltey feel may be appropriate. I- I
